SAVE LIVES AND REDUCE INJURIES

Each year, nearly 25% of all firefighter and EMS fatalities are the direct result of motor vehicle crashes; yet few agencies train their members on the safe operation of emergency apparatus.  The “Drive to Survive” seminar is designed to teach members that no matter how long they have been driving or how “good” they think they are, there are limits to the safe operation of an emergency apparatus or personal vehicle.  Using the same techniques used by crash investigators, the “Drive to Survive” seminar is designed to provide a better understanding of important topics which are critical for the safe operation of an emergency vehicle.

PROTECT YOUR APPARATUS

One of the greatest investments an emergency organization will make is the purchase of a new apparatus.  Yet, many agencies take driver training for granted and fail to provide adequate training on the safe operation of these large and expensive vehicles.

While countless hours are spent training on topics such as fire suppression, vehicle extrication and mass casualty incidents, the use of these skills are few and far between.  Yet every emergency incident, no matter how minor, requires a driver to use their driving skills and little attention is paid to driver training.

NFPA 1451 requires the operators of emergency apparatus to driver train at least two times a year …WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOUR DRIVERS TRAINED??

REDUCE LIABILITY

Vehicle crashes pose one of the greatest liabilities for an emergency agency.  Help protect your assets from costly lawsuits while improving firefighter safety with advanced training.
